Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.

Primary Chemical Name is the standard name assigned to a chemical substance.
ChemicalChemical Abstracts Service Registry Number is a unique identifier for a chemical and its synonyms. CAS numbers identify the chemical, but not its concentration or specific mixture. CAS Registry Numbers are assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society. For more information: www.cas.org

We have assigned "ID numbers" (with 6 leading zeros or nines, e.g., 000000-xx-x , 888888-xx-x) or 999999-xx-x) for blends and chemicals that do not have CAS numbers. Is a seven-digit number (xxx-xxx-x) assigned by the European Commission to chemicals contained in three inventories:
EC No.
EINECS is the European Inventory of Existing Commercial Substances and its EINECS numbers are displayed as 2xx-xxx-x.
ELINCS is the European List of Notified Chemical Substances that was available after September 18, 1981 and its ELINCS numbers are displayed as 4xx-xxx-x.

EU Hazard Classification Directive 67/548/EECHazard Symbols are used to classify dangerous substances.
Hazard SymbolsRisk Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "R" indicate the nature of the special risks, in accordance with Annex III to Directive 67/548/EEC (see Article 23(2)(d) Directive 67/548/EEC). The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning special risks, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the special risks.
Risk PhrasesSafety Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "S" indicating the recommended safety precautions, in accordance with Annex IV to Directive 67/548/EEC. The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning safety precautions, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the safety precautions.
Safety PhrasesSVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:
SVHC?
1. Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMR), meeting the criteria for classification in category 1 or 2 in accordance with Directive 67/548/EEC or in category 1a or 1b in accordance with EC No 1272/2008This directive was recently replaced by the new EU regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
2. Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) according to the criteria in Annex XIII of the REACH Regulation, or
3. Identified, on a case-by-case basis, from scientific evidence as causing probable serious effects to human health or the environment of an equivalent level of concern as those above (e.g. endocrine disrupters).-- 000080-05-7 -- 5.0-20.0 -- -- -- Click on each chemical for information on chemical structure, properties and health effects.

Acute health effects
From MSDS Effects of overexposure: Part A (Epoxy) INHALATION: Inhalation of vapor could cause headaches, nausea, dizziness, and respiratory tract irritation. EYE CONTACT: Product is moderately irritating to the eyes. May cause severe eye injury. Damage reversible. INGESTION: Expected to be slightly toxic by this route. SKIN CONTACT: Product is moderately irritating to the skin. Based on product testing, product may cause skin sensitization. Skin sensitization (allergy) may be evidenced by rashes, especially hives. Aggravated Medical Conditions: Pre-existing skin allergies may increase the chance of developing increased allergy symptoms from exposure to this product. Pre-existing skin and eye disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this product. Effects of overexposure: Part B (Amine Adduct) INHALATION: Vapors may cause allergenic response. May cause irritation of upper respiratory and nasal tract. EYE CONTACT: May cause a severe eye burn. Extremely irritating with possible permanent eye injury including blindness. INGESTION: Acutely toxic. SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause a marked skin burn. This material may cause sensitization or allergenic response. No likely to be absorbed through skin in toxic amounts. Aggravated Medical Conditions: Certain skin sensitive individuals and individuals with respiratory impairments may be affected by exposure to this product. -
Chronic health effects
From MSDS EFFECTS OF CHRONIC (prolonged) EXPOSURE: Prolonged or repeated skin contact can result in a rash. Breathing vapors can result in headache and irritation of the mucous membranes. -
Carcinogenicity
From MSDS Recent 2 year bioassays in mice exposed by the dermal route to epoxy resin, the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBPA), or to resins predominantly of DGEBPA have yielded very limited evidence of weak carcinogenicity. DGEBPA is a component of the resin in this product. The authors of this work concluded that the renal tumor evidence with this resin ***'was of no biological significance*** and that the resin ***is not a systemic carcinogen when applied to the dorsal skin of CF 1 mice.*** IARC concluded -
Handling information
From MSDS PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep away from open flames and high temperatures. -
Disposal information
From MSDS Controlled incineration. Handle in compliance with local, state and federal environmental protection agency regulations. -
First Aid
From MSDS (Part A-Epoxy) Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. Give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Obtain immediate medical attention. Eye Contact: Flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes while lifting upper and lower lids. Get immediate medical attention. Skin contact: In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water for 15 minutes. Launder clothing before reuse. Contaminated leather articles, including shoes, cannot be decontaminated and should be destroyed. Part B-Amine adduct: Notes to Physician EYES: May cause severe corneal injury. Stain for evidence of corneal injury. If cornea is burned, instill antibiotic steroid preparation frequently. Consult Ophthalmologist. SKIN: May cause severe burn. If burn is present, treat as any thermal burn. Known or suspected skin sensitizer. RESPIRATORY: Vapors may cause severe irritation. Good warning properties. Administer oxygen if available. Bronchodilators, expectorants, and anti-tussives may be of help. May cause respiratory sensitization or asthma. ORAL: Low to moderate oral toxicity. May cause burn of mucous membranes. If lavage is performed, suggest endotracheal and/or esophagoscopic control.
